BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Gra Menendez is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Gra Menendez received her medical degree from the Highest Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana. She completed the residency in Clinical Biochemical Genetics at the same institution. She finished her Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Gra Menendez completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. During her residency and fellowship Dr. Gra Menendez performed basic science and clinical research in the fields of molecular diagnosis of Hereditary Nonpolyposis Colorectal Cancer, hypoglycemia in hospitalized patients at CCF and ongoing project on the effects of Dapagliflozin on epicardial fat in subjects with T2D.
Dr. Gra Menendez clinical and research interests are in the area of thyroid neoplasm, advanced thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism, Graves’s ophthalmopathy and hypothyroidism.
