BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Hannoush obtained her medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela and later completed her residency in Internal Medicine as well as her Endocrinology fellowship at University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital where she obtained the Professionalism and Outstanding fellow awards. Since her postgraduate training years she has been actively involved in different clinical, genetic based and quality improvement research projects. She has published multiple case reports, review articles covering different topics on thyroid metabolism and neuroendocrine disorders, as well as a few reports of novel mutations found to cause endocrine related diseases.
Her clinical interests include thyroid metabolism and neuroendocrine disorders. She also has a special interest in clinical medical education; she joined the faculty at University of Miami in 2017 in the clinical educator career track and has been assigned responsibilities to be part of the endocrinology curriculum development for medical students, as well as coordinator of the endocrinology teaching modules.
Her passion for health promotion lead her to co-found Art MD, a non-profit organization with the mission of creating health promotion campaigns through art. Through this organization, along with a few colleagues, she has organized multiple art exhibits that seek to raise awareness about important preventable health disease in an innovative way.
