Welcome to the University of Miami (UM)/Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH) Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism training program website. Our campus, one of the largest medical centers in the United States, is situated in Miami's “Health District” and encompasses the Jackson Health System, the University of Miami Health System, and the Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center. With over 1500 beds, JMH serves as the primary public hospital for Miami-Dade County, acts as the major teaching hospital for the University of Miami, and ranks among the busiest hospitals in the nation, consistently listed in U.S. News & World Report’s "Best Hospitals In America."

The J. Maxwell McKenzie Endocrinology Fellowship at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital is a two-year ACGME-accredited program providing comprehensive clinical training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. This fellowship combines diverse clinical and research experiences in customizable programs tailored to individual needs. Trainees, especially those aiming for academic careers, are highly encouraged to extend their fellowship to a third year to complete a significant research project.
